Le Labo is a non-profit organization which aims to spread the use of French language in Ontario. To Launch their youth workshops 2.0, They hired me to create an animation short in 3D to advertize their activity contents on Instagram and Facebook. At the same time the artwork created in CGI would be use as illustration and we had to create layout for small booklet.
To start with, I conducted research on the target audience to understand their preferences and cultural references. Since the goal was to create relatable characters, I immersed myself in the local youth culture, exploring their interests, challenges, and aspirations. As the ultimate goal was to present summer short films studies, I focused on creating characters that would be relatable but that are not center of attraction.
A booklet was created to showcase the Labo summer program. Illustrations were designed to be visually appealing and engaging, with a focus on the characters created for the animation. The booklet served as a tangible representation of the program, providing information about the workshops and activities offered.
